UGC NET 2019: Details of Application Form, Admit Card, Exam Dates, Fees Pattern, Syllabus

UGC NET June 2019 Admit Card is releasing on 15th May 2019. National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2019) is managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). UGC NET has conducted the exam for the Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship for Indian national citizens. UGC NET is conducted once in the entire year. The National Testing Agency had released the UGC NET 2019 application forms on March 1. All eligible candidates could apply for the exam before March 30, 2019.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

UGC NET exam pattern till 2017 was such that the test was conducted in three sessions wherein candidates had to appear for three different papers. However, in 2018 the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had changed UGC NET exam pattern. Currently, all candidates need to appear for two papers (paper-I and II) only. JRF and Assistant Professor/ Assistant Professor positions are given to candidates basis their performance in two papers. However, it may be noted that only 6% of the candidates clearing UGC NET exam are declared eligible for the post of Assistant Professor. Also, the reservation policy for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates is applied to this 6%. 

UGC NET 2019 Syllabus 

UGC NET syllabus consist of two papers. Paper I is consist of the questions which will be of general nature and to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
